Optimi xAFP is the market leading, OSS-based Automatic Frequency Planning solution adopted by many of the largest GSM operators around the world, and is utilized to optimize around half of the cities with more than 4 million inhabitants worldwide. Beyond that, xAFP is a complete GSM Spectrum Management solution that includes a rich set of features to help wireless operators with their daily activities, continuously improving network performance with minimum effort.

Through its User Quality Booster (UQB) module, xAFP allows creating frequency plans targeting enhanced user experience in terms of voice quality (MOS) and GPRS/EDGE throughput by means of sophisticated prediction models for Frame Error Rate (FER), unlike other commercial solutions that only aim at optimizing RxQual. Also modelling advanced interference control techniques, this module is the perfect choice for very narrow spectrum retunes, as usually happens when carving GSM spectrum to deploy UMTS. In addition, the UQB module also supports accurate estimation of GPRS/EDGE performance, which allows operators to analyze different frequency planning and band allocation strategies for GPRS/EDGE traffic, also taking voice performance into consideration.
