Optimi Contracted by Vivo Brazil for GSM Rollout
Global Wireless Innovator to Provide Planning and Optimization Solutions
Atlanta, GA, USA — - July 30, 2007 - Optimi, a global leader of customizable planning, design and optimization solutions for new wireless technologies, was selected by Vivo Brazil to deploy a combination of planning and optimization services for the newly developed GSM network. Optimi will work with Vivo and their BSS vendors to bring strong GSM expertise in Vivo's RF planning, dimensioning and optimization initiatives.
During the network planning phase, Vivo utilized Optimi's innovative x-Wizard and x-Dimension solutions to ensure optimal design and dimensioning for the new GSM network overlay. For the optimization phase, Optimi will use x-AFP (Automatic Frequency Planning) and x-ACP (Automatic Cell Planning) solutions to increase spectral efficiency and develop accurate cell designs to maximize capacity, coverage and quality.
