Optimi Secures Software Services Contract with Yemen Operator
Wireless Provider to Utilize Planning and Optimization Solutions
Atlanta, GA, USA —February 14, 2007. Optimi, a global leader of customizable planning, optimization and monitoring solutions for new wireless technologies, was awarded a major network planning and optimization software solutions contract with a leading wireless operator in Yemen.
For the network planning phase, the operator will utilize Optimi's x-Wizard network planning application to design the network according to desired criteria. The application enables the operator to manage network growth and increased demand for voice and data services. x-Wizard is part of the X Design and Optimization Product Suite™.
During the network optimization phase, the operator will employ x-AFP (Automated Frequency Planning) to maximize spectrum capacity and reduce the need for additional cell sites, which reduces CapEx. The application's graphical user interface enables easy creation, simulation and analysis of new frequency plans before network implementation. By utilizing x-ACP (Automated Cell Planning), the operator can develop accurate and easy to implement cell designs to increase cell capacity, coverage and QoS. Both x-AFP and x-ACP are part of the X Design and Optimization Product Suite™.
