Optimi Establishes Asia-Pacific Footprint with regional headquarters in Singapore
Singapore — October 16, 2006. Optimi, a global leader in the development of customizable planning, today announced the establishment of its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore to serve the regional market.
The new office will provide Sales, Marketing, Delivery & Support and Solutions Management capabilities to customers across Asia-Pacific. The Singapore location will also be a key component for growing Optimi's business across the varied markets in the region.
Scott Willis, Senior Vice-President of Sales & Marketing at Optimi, was appointed to lead the expansion into Asia-Pacific with a mandate to build the team and grow the business. "The Asia-Pacific region presents a significant opportunity for Optimi. The region is currently in the early stages of migrating to UMTS technology, with regulators only just beginning the process of licensing the spectrum," observed Willis. "This, along with increasing levels of mobile penetration, will drive demand for optimization solutions that increase network capacity and expand coverage without necessarily building more towers."
Singapore was chosen to be Optimi's Asia-Pacific headquarters for its proximity to key growth markets, and its reputation as a technology hub. "Singapore's pro-business environment and excellent infrastructure makes it an ideal base of operations for Optimi," commented Optimi's President and CEO, Bill Clift.
