Optimi Awarded Major Contracts with Leading North American Wireless Operator
x-Dimension and x-AFP Solutions to Help Manage Network Growth
Atlanta, GA, USA — Sept. 7, 2006. Optimi, a global leader of customizable planning, optimization and monitoring solutions for new wireless technologies, announced that a leading North American wireless operator has awarded Optimi two major contracts for planning and optimization solutions. Optimi will deploy the innovative x-Dimension product to forecast network capacity, optimize network resource utilization and plan budget and the x-AFP (Automatic Frequency Planning) product to help manage spectrum usage.
The operator will utilize Optimi's x-Dimension application to predict anticipated traffic growth for voice and data services on a per-sector basis. x-Dimension offers "what if" scenarios for an accurate depiction of capital and operating expenditures required to achieve desired service levels. The application provides an accurate view of bottlenecks, required radio capacity and effectively generates budget impacts to develop regional service performance analyses for comparative benchmarking. The x-Dimension product is part of Optimi's X Design and Planning Product Suite, or x-Platform™.
Additionally, the operator will employ Optimi's x-AFP product to create highly effective frequency plans and neighbors topology to enhance network performance, and improve spectrum efficiency. The application reduces capital expenditures and network operating costs, and provides the operator the ability to factor the impact of proposed frequency plans on capacity, coverage, Quality of Service (QoS) objectives and network expenditures. x-AFP is part of Optimi's X Design and Optimization Product Suite™, or x-Platform™.
