Optimi Secures Contract with Major Latin American Operator to Provide Advanced Network Solutions
Optimi Deploys Groundbreaking Monitoring Application
Atlanta, GA, USA — February 16, 2006. Optimi, a global leader in the development of customizable planning, optimization and monitoring solutions for new wireless technologies, announced a contract with a major Latin American wireless operator to implement its advanced x-AppMonitor™ system, which will help ensure consistent and reliable wireless services.
The operator will use Optimi's x-AppMonitor™ system to remotely test the packet switch data transfer speeds of the most common Internet applications in cellular telephony. Optimi's solution will allow the operator to evaluate its File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Web browsing and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP), as well as test critical applications such as Push to Talk over Cellular (PoC).

This is Optimi's first commercial deployment of x-AppMonitor, which is a component of the X Design and Optimization Product Suite™, or x-Platform™. It includes an innovative centralized management center that remotely controls microagents located in generic simbian terminals. The management center determines which reports to run, collects the results, monitors system performance and generates various aggregated statistics so that preventive or corrective actions can be implemented to assure a high quality of service.
