Service Performance & Optimization

Description

The course provides detailed teaching on data services support offered by varying technologies. Three technologies are available: (E)GPRS, WCDMA and CDMA2k. At the end of the course, the attendee will have in-depth knowledge of the quality of service mechanisms available in these networks; the end-user experience under real network conditions for several widely utilized services; the requirements imposed on the network; and several optimization techniques that are currently available for performance improvement. The course is complemented by live demos of service performance through real networks.

Target Group

This course provides radio access technology experts with service and IP-traffic awareness. Moreover, a wireless perspective is offered to IP and service experts. Therefore, this is the ideal training for personnel requiring the end-to-end and L1 to L7 view that is needed to understand service performance issues and the related optimization techniques.

Duration

2 days for a one-technology course, and 3 days for a two-technologies course.

Prerequisites

Depending on the technology, GSM TEC, GPRS TEC or WCDMA TEC courses. Advanced knowledge of GSM, GPRS, EGPRS, WCDMA or CDMA2k radio access technologies.
